Battery development and manufacturing

Battery concept development draws from several corporate competences. First, we examine the intended application in relation to environmental conditions, usage profile, and safety requirements and, thus, determine the resulting demands on the storage system. As regards cell selection, this can be based on our experiences, and/or optionally resort to tests for accurate characterisation of possible cells. This is followed by pack development with material selection and mechanical design, as well as electronics and software development, which includes the BMS, cable harness, and the integration of communications interfaces.

We undertake all processes with special consideration of cost and production-technology aspects.

In this way, we manufacture highly specialised prototypes and small series, but also develop batteries suitable for mass-series production. Last but not least, we also undertake any statutory tests – e.g., transport test under UN transport 38.3 – and application-specific tests.
